1957

Market for glue

Jens Thage retired director for Augustinus Tobaksfabrikker established Jens Thage & Co, a distributor company that imported glue called Strucol from Strucol BV, Holland when he discovered a market for glue in Denmark. 

1972

Sells to Strucol

Jens Thage sells his company to Strucol BV, Holland and they start a Branch Office in Copenhagen. Poul Køster was engaged as director for the new company.
 

1986

Expanded...

The company really expanded and the need for new and bigger facilities arose. The company got a new domicile in Tølløse. At the same time the name was
changed to National Starch & Chemical, since 10 years earlier in 1976 this international giant on the market had acquired 50 % of Strucol BV, Holland.
 

1989

Additional acquisition

National Starch & Chemical acquires Notra Kemi A/S in Uldum, by which the company is supplied with extensive expertise within adhesive products for the wood industry. Along with the acquisition follows an exclusive distributor’s contract with BASF – one of the world’s biggest and leading glue manufacturers – to sell their adhesive products.
 

1995

Hello Fredericia

Poul Køster buys the Danish part of National Starch & Chemical and carries on the company under the name PK Industriklæbestoffer A/S in Fredericia.
 

1998

Buys PKI

The leading employees Karl Brynningsen and Bent Jensen purchase PK Industriklæbestoffer A/S and own 50% of the share capital each.
 

2000

A third part

Gert Lynge Christensen enters as new shareholder in PK Industriklæbestoffer A/S, after which the share capital is shared with 1/3 to each.
 

2001

Name change

PK Industriklæbestoffer A/S changes its name to the present PKI Supply A/S.
 

2003

New domicile

The need for more storage capacity and better administrative facilities makes PKI Supply A/S build a new and modern company domicile at the present address. Close to the motorway E45 and the new Little Belt bridge.
 

2005

50/50

Bent Jensen secedes as share holder and the share capital is shared 50/50 between the remaining owners Gert Lynge Christensen and Karl Brynningsen.
 

2009

More owners

Gert Lynge Christensen sells his shares in PKI Supply A/S. At the same occasion he leaves his job in the company. Three employees – Hans Bay, Preben Bagger and Harding Kristiansen – are welcomed as new shareholders in the company.
